Join eBay's Global Talent Acquisition team and play a key role in building the teams that power our business. As a Senior Talent Sourcer based in Toronto, you'll play an important role in helping grow eBay's Toronto talent hub by attracting exceptional talent across multiple teams. The Sr. Talent Sourcer is a key member of eBay's Talent Acquisition team, responsible for developing and delivering proactive sourcing strategies that build strong, diverse pipelines of talent aligned to critical business needs. In this role, you will partner closely with recruiters and hiring leaders to identify, engage, and nurture exceptional passive talent while strengthening long-term pipeline health across priority skill areas.

As a Sr. Talent Sourcer, you bring strong expertise in market research, candidate engagement, and pipeline strategy. You are great at balancing high-priority searches with longer-term talent community development, and you use data, market insights, and modern sourcing tools to continuously refine your approach.

What you will do:
  • Strategic sourcing and pipeline development
  • Develop and deliver proactive sourcing strategies for complex, hard-to-fill, and business-critical roles
  • Build and maintain long-term, high-quality pipelines across priority functions and skill sets
  • Create targeted sourcing campaigns to engage passive talent across multiple channels
  • Balance support for urgent searches while maintaining forward-looking pipeline coverage


Partnership and alignment
  • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, team dynamics, and evolving skill needs
  • Lead thorough intake discussions to align on sourcing strategy, target profiles, and success criteria
  • Provide ongoing updates on pipeline progress, market activity, and candidate engagement trends
  • Bring practical talent market perspective into hiring conversations and planning


Market research and insights
  • Conduct talent mapping and competitor research to identify target companies and talent pools
  • Use market data to help set realistic expectations around timelines, talent availability, and the competitive landscape
  • Share insights that inform sourcing direction and help refine hiring strategies


Candidate engagement and experience
  • Craft thoughtful outreach messaging and engagement strategies that resonate with passive talent
  • Conduct initial candidate conversations and provide high-quality summaries to recruiting partners
  • Help deliver a strong, consistent candidate experience throughout the sourcing journey


Operational excellence and innovation
  • Maintain accurate and organized pipeline data within ATS and CRM systems
  • Track sourcing activity and funnel metrics to improve conversion and pipeline effectiveness
  • Use AI-enabled tools and emerging sourcing technologies to improve workflow efficiency, research quality, talent insights, and outreach effectiveness
  • Continuously test, learn, and adopt new sourcing tools and techniques


What you will bring
  • 7+ years of sourcing experience in a corporate and/or agency environment
  • Demonstrated success building proactive pipelines for technical and/or business-critical roles
  • Strong research skills and the ability to map talent markets effectively
  • Advanced proficiency with sourcing tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, AI-enabled research/workflow tools, and ATS/CRM systems; Workday experience is preferred
  • Experience using AI-enabled sourcing and productivity tools to improve research, talent mapping, outreach development, workflow efficiency, and insight generation
  • Strong ability to influence and partner effectively with recruiters, hiring managers, and business leaders
  • Experience working across multiple talent segments and adapting strategies accordingly
  • Understanding of visa categories such as TN, H-1B, and E-3 is preferred
  • Growth mindset, curiosity, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment


Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
C$102,800 - C$137,200

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
