Practice Group Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager

Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for full life cycle recruitment of attorneys and specialized legal talent across designated Practice Groups at Jackson Lewis. This role partners closely with Practice Group Leaders to identify talent needs, develop strategic recruiting plans, and attract high-performing attorneys who support the firm's growth objectives. The successful candidate will bring deep knowledge of the legal talent market, leveraging market intelligence, talent mapping, and targeted sourcing strategies to identify and engage top legal talent. The Talent Acquisition Manager builds and maintains robust talent pipelines and serves as a trusted advisor on workforce planning, competitive market trends, and attorney recruiting best practices.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with Practice Group Leaders to develop and execute strategic recruitment plans that support practice growth and business objectives.
  • Lead full life cycle recruitment for attorneys, including associates, counsel, partners, and other specialized legal talent.
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of active and passive candidates across key practice areas.
  • Develop targeted sourcing strategies and leverage market intelligence to identify and engage top legal talent.
  • Advise leadership on talent trends, competitive market insights, and workforce planning.
  • Manage the recruitment process from intake through offer, ensuring an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Build relationships with legal search firms, professional organizations, and industry networks to expand access to top talent.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, recruiting best practices, and firm policies throughout the hiring process.
  • Draft and deliver clear, professional, and effective communications to candidates, hiring teams, and leadership.


Qualifications/Skills Required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience directly with Practice Group heads and experience of strategy and partner level recruitment.
  • Established experience and relationships in legal industry preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leader, and good collaborator.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High sense of urgency that proactively moves the hiring process to completion.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; strong organizational skills
  • Strong business acumen and ability to communicate effectively with practice group heads, team members, lawyers, law students, search firms and others.
  • Understands laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Adept at social media and Boolean searches; ability to effectively network via technology.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems, resume databases, internet sourcing tools, and social media recruiting. Experience with Workday preferred.
  • Strategic thinker able to design innovative, differentiating strategies to attract highly qualified candidates and market brand opportunities.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's Degree or JD a plus.

For the New York, California and Illinois market, the expected salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $190,000. This position is also eligible for annual bonuses. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
