Full Job Description
** This is not a remote position. T-Mobile is a hybrid work environment requiring work in the office three (3) days per week. The successful candidate will be located in the greater Seattle, Washington area.**

Job Overview
Job Overview This role designs and builds the platform architecture for T-Mobile's Physical & Edge AI business: the productized developer surface (developer onboarding/SDKs, app marketplace, workflow orchestration, and billing/metering) and the standards behind it. It architects, develops, and implements technology strategy in collaboration with architecture and engineering teams, influences stakeholders, and ensures compliance with architectural standards across multiple technology domains. Operating in a vertically integrated team that commercializes Physical & Edge AI offerings, the role serves as a senior architectural authority for the platform tier and scales design across internal teams and ISV partners. Success is measured by the ability to deliver scalable, reliable platform solutions that meet business requirements and align with enterprise architecture principles.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Own and develop the platform architecture for Physical & Edge AI (developer onboarding/SDKs, app marketplace, workflow orchestration, and billing/metering) as a coherent, productized developer surface
  • Define and enforce architectural guardrails and standards for API design, identity/auth, multi-tenant isolation, observability, and extensibility to ensure compliance and reliable delivery
  • Create and present high-level solution designs and technical documentation (RFCs, design docs, decision records) to guide development and leadership decisions
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into optimized technology solutions; partner with Product on the platform roadmap
  • Lead deep technical reviews of platform features and partner integrations; act as a senior architectural authority for platform-tier decisions
  • Mentor and coach architects and senior engineers and influence the broader architecture community on Edge AI platform patterns
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed


Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Technology or related technical field (Required)
  • 4-7 years experience architecting enterprise-scale systems and platforms (e.g., distributed computing, data platforms, or multi-tenant services) (Required)

Base Pay Range: $102,000 - $184,000

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
