Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Precision Navigation (PNav) Systems Engineering Department within the Air Traffic Navigation, Integration, and Coordination System (ATNAVICS). The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting all contracts associated with the ATNAVICS program. These contracts encompass sustainment efforts for the US military as well as production obligations for an international contract. This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of crucial navigation systems serving both domestic and international needs.
The ideal candidate for this position should be familiar with both front end and back end systems engineering activities. The applicant should be experienced performing engineering tasks which include planning, documenting, and writing technical artifacts. The candidate should feel comfortable leading small teams, gaining hands-on experience in both the lab and the field.
This is an onsite role at our Marlborough, MA facility, relocation is not provided.What You Will Do:- Define and derive systems engineering requirements, including interface definitions and requirement verification and validation
- Support operations concept definition and procedure planning, collaborating with personnel from various organizations
- Address customer issues by developing system and product level requirements, ensuring solutions meet their needs
- Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation and perform testing
- Systems sustainment activities for legacy radar systems, to involve troubleshooting, documenting, and testing
- Develop leadership skills leading small system engineering efforts
- Occasional travel to other locations
Qualifications You Must Have:- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree and 3 minimum years of prior relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with Digital Engineering Tools (DOORS, Cameo, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
- Must have Experience generating technical documentation and managing small projects
- Experience generating and delivering technical documentation to stakeholders, including creating, reviewing, and updating test artifacts
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation} and be able to effectively communicate with IPT leaders, hardware and software development engineers, specialty engineers, program managers, and customer representatives
Qualifications We Prefer:- Prior experience with IBM DOORs and JIRA
- Prior experience supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) government contract
- Prior experience working in small teams to achieve program cost and schedule objectives
- Prior experience with both waterfall and Agile Development Processes
- Radar domain experience
- Experience with System Engineering Product Cycle
- Prior Radar domain experience
- Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance is preferred

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
