Job Description

As a Sr Strategic Plan Specialist here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in leading market research activities for the Business and General Aviation (BGA) vertical. You will be responsible for developing credible market research & industry intelligence informing Honeywell Aerospace's short and long-term strategic plans.

In this role, you will be critical in creating, maintaining, monitoring and interpreting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) critical to evaluating the performance of the BGA market. You will support the integration of customer & competitor insight to identify growth opportunities and market needs. You will maneuver across globally diverse and matrixed lines of business to generate best in class tools and data to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of Market Outlooks (worldwide, regional and segment specific) used to understand the BGA market, through the integration of data from multiple sources (internal and external to Honeywell.
  • Manage and continuously improve key metric models of the BGA market including the correlation between market growth and revenue impacts which are used to drive financial and product planning for Honeywell Aerospace.
  • Engineer data processes and manage large data sets used to support company performance analytics and segment specific trending and forecasting activities.
  • Own and manage ad-hoc analysis projects from inception to final report providing data driven and actionable insights to requesting stakeholder(s).
  • Develop, maintain, and report market assessments for specific customer segments in Aerospace (market research). Specifically, directly support the management, administration and results analysis of Honeywell Aerospace's.
  • Conduct market evaluations for new aircraft and segmentations within BGA.
  • Develop content for, and participate in, industrywide BGA market intelligence forums, including the Transportation Research Board (TRB)


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's Degree in analytical discipline (Marketing, Business Management, Math, Engineering)
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry (OEM, operator, infrastructure, service provider, consultancy, etc)
  • An intermediate understanding of industry: OEMs, platforms, operators, dynamics, segmentation

WE VALUE
  • 5 years+ experience in Aerospace Industry
  • Data engineering experience (data science a bonus, but not critical)
  • Analytical skills
  • Experience in the Business Aviation "ecosystem" (Operators, OEM, MRO, Aircraft Systems, Crew etc...) An understanding of the Business Aviation industry as a whole.
  • Prior experience with industry, market, competitive, and business analytics studies
  • Project management skills (ability to structure the approach and compile the relevant deliverable)
  • Ability to autonomously execute analytical studies which may have nebulous problem statements
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex market dynamics, supported with facts, evidence, data, VOC, etc (data visualization, clear/concise communication, derivation of key insights)
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization & communication skills
  • Excellent business writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work in a global, matrix organization
