Sr. SQL Database Administrator | Day-to-Day - Own the administration and operational health of Microsoft SQL Server environments across development, test, and production.
- Manage backup, restore, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions, including Always On Availability Groups.
- Investigate and resolve complex performance issues such as blocking, deadlocks, failed jobs, and resource contention.
- Collaborate with application teams to tune queries, indexes, statistics, and execution plans for optimal performance.
- Implement and maintain database security, user access, and privileged access workflows, including privileged access management (PAM) solutions and BeyondTrust.
- Automate routine DBA tasks, support upgrades and migrations, and maintain clear operational documentation and recovery runbooks.
Sr. SQL Database Administrator | Skills & Experience - 10+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in production environments.
- Strong expertise in performance tuning, backup and recovery, disaster recovery planning, and high-availability architectures.
- Proven experience migrating SQL Server from 2016 to newer versions in an Always On Availability Group setup.
- Advanced proficiency in T-SQL scripting, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Experience with SQL Server Agent, replication, clustering, or CDC in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing database security, auditing, privileged access management (including BeyondTrust), and data masking.
