Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing U.S. Federal Civilian Government business.
As a Federal Civilian Solutions Architect, you will help US Federal Government Civilian agencies reach their goals and advance their mission. We are looking for individuals who are motivated by the opportunity to work backwards from our customers' needs and help them innovate and scale on AWS. As a technologist and key member of the Account team you will help influence customers' architectural choices across broad use cases involving AI/ML, security, compute, storage networking as well as advanced scenarios involving serverless, and analytics. You will also lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS Solution Architect community.
Key job responsibilities
- Helping U.S. Federal Civilian Government organizations implement innovative AWS solutions and solve technical problems.
- Being a subject matter expert on Generative AI/ML as it relates to customer applications and services.
- Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
- Defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Have a strong background in AWS Services, and be able to demonstrate technical excellence when building scalable architectures.
- Be a passionate communicator, advisor, and advocate for the Customer.
- Understand US Federal Government best practices for security, standards, and compliance for designing large-scale cloud computing solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- 2+ years experience with Generative AI based application building and deployment
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
