Software Engineer, responsible for software integration and development of software extensions for a program that focuses on mission critical research for National Security. This position requires a motivated individual who seeks to work in a team environment where creative solutions are encouraged, and technical challenges are the norm.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Performing System and Software level Integration and Testing for 1893/A3S software on various architectures
- Knowledge of building and deploying 1893/A3S systems on local and cloud systems
- Create and execute integration and system test and document test procedures
- Troubleshoot software system issues
- Support Operational systems and Integration & Testing efforts
- Development and maintenance of deployment and operational scripts and configurations
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, and other developers to aid and provide guidance in designing new features as well as determining defect fixes
- Ability to work in an Agile environment
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS- Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a TS after hire
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (i.e., Computer Science, Software Engineer, Information Technology) or other relevant Engineering field from an accredited university or equivalent combination of formal education and experience
- Minimum of 10 years' professional Software Development, Integration and Testing experience
- Experience in Linux (Redhat preferred)
- Experience in python Development
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Problem solving capabilities to diagnose and troubleshoot problems
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with working in Satellite Operational Environment's
- Experience with Neptune Software
- Use of Atlassian Collaboration Tools (JIRA, Confluence, Gitlab)
- Experience with relational databases (PostGreSQL, MariaDB)
- Experience with cloud software and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong Understanding of distributed systems
