PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Software Engineer in Austin, TX
Job Duties: Design, develop and deploy reliable, scalable, and observable software applications to support scale of our architecture. Build and implement highly scalable clustered JEE systems. Create software solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to testing goals and principles. Maintain large volume transaction processing frameworks, including Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or Java EE. Identify, troubleshoot and solve software issues through design, development and release stages, rapidly iterate and implement solutions to support keys projects during production and post launch. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Experience building large-scale software applications using Java, Spring MVC, and ORM tools including Hibernate (2 years)
2. Experience in developing fault-tolerant RESTful and SOAP web services (2 years)
3. Experience with utilizing testing frameworks JUnit and Mockito (2 years)
4. Experience with writing complex and efficient SQL queries in relational database systems Oracle and MySQL (2 years)
5. Experience working with monolithic Java EE applications and event-driven systems within distributed enterprise environments (2 years)
6. Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise software applications (2 years)

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

Austin, TX | Salary: $114,754.00-221,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
