PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Software Engineer in Austin, TX

Job Duties: Collaborate with product manager and other stakeholders to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements and transform them into technical solutions. Design, develop, and customize Salesforce applications, including creating custom objects, fields, triggers, workflows, validation rules, and other Salesforce components. Contribute to design and code review activities. Integrate Salesforce applications with external systems to ensure seamless data exchange between systems. Migrate, manipulate, and manage data within Salesforce to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Perform unit testing, functional testing, and integration testing to ensure developed applications meet requirements and function correctly. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to support user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve any identified issues. Use deployment tools and methodologies to deploy Salesforce applications from development to product environments, following best practices for version control, change management, and release management. Monitor and optimize the performance of Salesforce applications, addressing issues like performance bottlenecks, long-running queries, and inefficient code. Create and maintain technical documentation for developed applications, including design documents, user guides, and release notes, to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available for users and other team members. Provide ongoing support for Salesforce applications, addressing user issues, resolving bugs, and implementing enhancements as needed. Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features, technologies, and best practices to ensure developed applications leverage the platform's full capabilities and adhere to industry standards. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

Primary Location | Pay Range:

Austin, TX | Salary: $130,250.00-221,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
