Functional Area: IT

The Role

Analyze, design, develop, maintain and improve business processes and corresponding software applications to allow Wells' Enterprises to function according to user needs for the assigned area. As an advanced level contributor, this is accomplished according to the priorities and direction established by management. This person will also provide guidance and mentor others in the technical aspects of the Wells Application technology.

What You'll Do

  • Exhibit advanced technical skills/abilities required for developing, implementing and maintaining business software applications and interfaces within specified time frames, using the tools required for the position.
  • Utilize independent judgment to efficiently create technical solutions by applying skills and knowledge as well as interpreting business requirements and strategy. Provide on-going information, support, mentoring and training as needed for internal customers, team members and IT.
  • Test/debug application systems of significant complexity to ensure accuracy, standards compliance, meet requirements, and have acceptable response times while adhering to time constraints and project deadlines.
  • Document application systems and procedures according to organizational needs. This includes test scripts, LDRP, maintenance, process, training, customer, etc., ensuring compliance with department standards and proper handoff to testing team.
  • Technically lead efforts involving moderate to complex level projects, often giving direction to other team members, and at times internal customers. Work with outside technology vendors as required. Prioritize in accordance with guidance provided and organizational needs, meeting specified timeline/s.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT related discipline or related experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience within a programming/development environment.
  • Knowledge - Knowledge and proficiency determined by position:
  • Operating Systems - Windows Server, Unix, Linux
  • Languages & Frameworks - SQL, PL/SQL, Java, Python, C# & VB (.NET), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, XML; experience with Oracle APEX and Vue.js; familiarity with ASP.NET MVC, Razor, and Blazor
  • Applications & Platforms - Experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite, including one or more of the following functional areas: Order Management (OM), Inventory (INV), Bills of Material (BOM), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Process Manufacturing (OPM), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), and Quality Management. Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Microsoft 365, Azure DevOps (CI/CD), and other enterprise applications supporting manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, warehouse, and transportation operations. Experience supporting ERP and business-critical applications in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
  • Manufacturing & IT/OT Technologies - Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Quality Management Systems (QMS), SCADA/HMI platforms (e.g., Ignition), industrial automation, and IT/OT environments. Understanding of plant-floor integrations, PLC-connected devices, industrial communication protocols, operational data collection, and manufacturing support processes. Experience troubleshooting and supporting connected manufacturing systems, production operations, and real-time data solutions is preferred.
  • Data Bases - Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server
  • Skills - Proactive problem-solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills. Attention to detail with systematic and thorough documentation skills. Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Abilities - Ability to work independently and collaboratively to analyze complex assignments, define and create solutions. Technical, plus the ability to grasp abstract concepts.

The base pay range for this position is $87,321 to $139,061 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This pay range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
