About You- You are a hands-on manufacturing software engineer who thrives at the intersection of software development, automation, and advanced manufacturing. You enjoy solving complex production challenges through scalable software solutions and have a passion for developing systems that improve product quality, process capability, and manufacturing efficiency.
- You are comfortable working in a cross-functional environment alongside Manufacturing, Quality, Electrical, Mechanical, and Product Development teams to deliver reliable and compliant manufacturing solutions. You take ownership of projects from concept through deployment and are driven by continuous improvement, technical excellence, and operational impact.
- You have strong experience developing manufacturing applications, automation systems, and machine controls, with the ability to translate production requirements into robust software solutions. Experience in medical devices, robotics, or highly regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on manufacturing, automation, or industrial systems.
- Strong programming experience in:
- Structured Text (IEC 61131-3 PLC Programming)
- Experience developing software for automated manufacturing equipment, production test systems, or industrial automation platforms.
- Experience integrating software with PLCs, motion control systems, sensors, vision systems, and industrial communication protocols.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented software design, software architecture, and software development best practices.
- Experience with SQL databases, data collection systems, and manufacturing analytics.
- Proficiency with source control systems such as Git and modern software development workflows.
- Ability to troubleshoot software, hardware, and automation issues in a production environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and quality teams.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing scale-up activities preferred.
- Medical device, robotics, or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, or other regulated quality systems is a plus.
