Your Impact

As a key member of the Capacity Planning team in Cisco's Silicon Manufacturing Operations, you will champion the technical data foundation and scenario modeling that converts product demand, hardware configurations, and manufacturing flows into an executable backend capacity plan. Your work with directly shape capacity decisions across a multi-billion-dollar silicon and OSAT supply network, safeguarding supply continuity and time-to-market for next generation AI networking products.

  • Capacity Modeling & Analytics: Build and maintain sophisticated, multi-variable capacity models grounded in yield and efficiency dynamics and semiconductor supply chain fundamentals. Apply sophisticated Excel modeling, capacity simulation, and large-scale data analysis - using SQL, Power BI, or equivalent tools - to convert demand, hardware, and test requirements into an executable backend capacity plan. Operate across MRP/MPS, APS, manufacturing, and ERP platforms to ensure capacity plans remain grounded in accurate, current operational data.

  • Product Data & Resource Architecture: Define the resource types requiring capacity planning and determine whether each is shared or dedicated across products. Establish and maintain planning parameters - such as OEE, test time, index time, and retest rate - that drive capacity calculations. Configure new resource and parameter data to support NPI readiness and maintain and update resource master data as existing products, processes, or manufacturing configurations change. Track on-hand and on-order resource availability, ensuring planning models reflect accurate, current resource positions.

  • Capacity Forecasting & Constraint Prediction: Translate product demand forecasts into required tester capacity by platform, packaging type, and factory utilization by site and manufacturing process. Identify capacity constraints and bottlenecks 6-18 months in advance, along with the capacity investments and trade-ratio adjustments needed to support growth and mitigate supply risk from demand, yield, or product mix changes.

  • Supply Chain Performance Excellence: Own capacity plan accuracy, forecast-vs-actual utilization, and constraint prediction accuracy as core metrics. Drive measurable outcomes in tester and manufacturing resource utilization, throughput attainment, bottleneck reduction, and NPI/ramp readiness through proactive capacity management. Improve supply commit accuracy by ensuring capacity positions are reflected reliably in commitments to internal and external partners.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, with demonstrated hands-on experience in OSAT operations.
  • 8+ years of capacity management experience within the semiconductor industry.
  • Sophisticated understanding of silicon manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a start-up environment
  • Elite problem-solving skills and high level of attention to integrated business planning impacts
