Full Job Description
ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Sr. SDET I is responsible for testing the company's products to ensure that company standards and specifications are met. Responsibilities include executing test cases, creating and running automated scripts, creating defect reports, and working with Application Engineering to troubleshoot issues; define and implement comprehensive test strategies and frameworks for projects; oversee the creation and maintenance of test plans, cases, and documentation; ensure alignment of QA activities with business goals and product requirements; identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies; lead initiatives to enhance automation coverage and efficiency; drive adoption of best practices in testing, defect management, and reporting; guide team in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for web, API, and service layers; perform functional, regression, usability and load/performance testing; ensure integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines; oversee backend validation and data integrity checks using SQL and other tools; and oversee defect identification, logging, tracking, and resolution.

Telecommuting permitted. Reports to headquarters in Louisville, KY.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Job Requirements: Requires a Master's OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and related experience (3 years with Master's OR 5 years of progressively responsible with Bachelor's) which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts for enterprise web and API applications using Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, or Jest; Developing and executing API test automation for REST and GraphQL services using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools; Implementing automated testing within CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar platforms, and utilizing Git for version control; Performing functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for distributed systems in Agile/Scrum environments, including collaboration with cross-functional teams to define test strategy and quality standards; Writing SQL queries for backend data validation and conducting performance and load testing using k6, JMeter, or similar tools; Validating application deployments in cloud environments such as AWS; and Using Zephyr or similar test management tools to manage and report on test cases and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulatory and data privacy requirements, including systems handling PHI.
