Full Job Description
In this role You will serve as the functional Salesforce Subject Matter Expert (SME) within our broader enterprise data ecosystem, ensuring the platform is optimally modeled and structured to align with our core ERP (Trimble Spectrum) and seamlessly stream high-fidelity data into our modern data lake architecture (Microsoft Fabric / Synapse).

  • Key Responsibilities
    1. Platform Governance & Architecture Standards
    • Declarative-First Architecture: Define, establish, and enforce architectural governance standards across the platform. Maximize the use of Salesforce Flow Builder, dynamic forms, and standard objects to deliver highly functional solutions while minimizing technical debt and avoiding unnecessary custom code.
    • Release Management: Establish and manage rigorous sandbox architecture and DevOps/change control processes, ensuring all deployments are thoroughly documented, tested, and tracked.
    • Data Security & Compliance: Architect and maintain a robust role hierarchy, profile management framework, permission sets, and sharing rules that ensure data security while enabling seamless operational collaboration.

    2. Data Ecosystem & Enterprise Integration (Functional SME)
    • Data Lake Collaboration: Act as the primary Salesforce SME working hand-in-hand with the IT Data Team. Ensure all underlying Salesforce objects, fields, and custom architectures are perfectly structured, documented, and optimized for reliable, downstream ELT/ETL extraction into Microsoft Fabric / Synapse.
    • ERP Data Alignment: Partner with internal business systems analysts and external implementation partners to guide the mapping, validation, and syncing of financial, project, and tracking data between Salesforce and Trimble Spectrum ERP.

    • Data Dictionary Ownership: Create and maintain complete data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), and environment dependency maps to support continuous data governance.
    • Operational Analytics: Build, customize, and maintain advanced operational dashboards and complex custom report types that provide leadership with immediate, actionable visibility into key pipeline and field efficiency metrics.

    3. Front-End UI/UX & Field Adoption
    • Persona-Driven UI Design: Architect clean, fast, and responsive Lightning pages customized specifically for construction workflows, estimating, project management, and field leadership.
    • Process Optimization: Translate intricate, multi-step operational requirements into streamlined, error-proof guided experiences (such as Screen Flows) that reduce data entry friction and enhance operational

    Qualifications & Experience
    • Experience: 5+ years of dedicated Salesforce Administration experience, ideally within a multi-unit mid-market or enterprise organization. Direct experience in Construction, Engineering, Field Services, or Mechanical Trades is highly valued.
    • Data & Integration Acuity: Strong conceptual understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, data governance, and API-driven integrations. Must possess the ability to model data accurately for downstream analytics teams.
    • Technical Balance: Expert-level mastery of Salesforce Flow, automation suites, and declarative features. Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot existing legacy Apex code or Lightning Web Components (LWC) when necessary, combined with a strict philosophy against over-engineering.
    • Professional Collaboration: Proven track record of acting as a collaborative functional lead alongside data engineers, IT infrastructure leadership, business stakeholders, and system integrators.
    • Required Certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator and Salesforce Certified Platform App
    • Preferred Certifications: Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Certified Data Cloud Consultant, or related Integration/Data architecture badges.
