JOB SUMMARYConducts safety audits of buildings, facilities, tools and equipment. Determines safety training requirements and provides employees with safety training applicable to their work processes. Investigates accidents to determine the root cause, circumstances and contributing factors. Develops recommendations and follow-up to prevent accident recurrence. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of government safety regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Four (4) or more years Experience in a related field (Required)

- Some travel required in assigned region. Occasional overnight may be required., Possible incident investigations could require working in a variety of weather conditions
- Provide expert guidance and counseling on safety related issues for day to day refinery activities by participating in safety meetings, audits and training
- Apply specific regulatory knowledge and work closely with refinery personnel and management to assure regulatory compliance
- Conduct incident investigations, prepare written incident investigation reports, and assists in development of corrective actions
- Maintain, organize and report safety KPIs including leading and lagging indicators for measurement of refinery safety performance
- Attend and present safety information at Staff meetings, Contractor Safety Meetings, etc.
- Working knowledge of FMCSA and PHMSA compliance
- Utilize ELD and other technology portals for the management of Driver safety systems
- May need to act as lead during incident management
