Job OverviewEngineered Polymer Solutions (EPS) is part of the Aerospace Defense and Marine business (AD&M) within TE's industrial business segment, supplying customers with electronic components that include ruggedized electronic interconnect solutions, harness assemblies and application equipment.
We are currently offering an exciting opportunity to be part of our dynamic, friendly team supporting and developing the next generation SolderTact Contacts, and RF Connectors products, The team is looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on Mechanical Engineer to sustain and develop new products for this portfolio.
The R&D/PRODUCT DVL ENGINEER II will provide technical leadership and hands-on engineering support across the product lifecycle. This role requires a base of knowledge and skills covering a range of mechanical engineering topics as well as a knowledge of electrical engineering disciplines, with a sound understanding of relevant technologies and current industry practices. It will require the demonstration of experience in supporting and/or developing product for Aerospace, Commercial Air or Military market.
Job RequirementsProduct Development and Technical Leadership- Provide engineering support for products used in aerospace and military applications.
- Design, prototype, and test concepts for new products and product enhancements.
- Serve as the engineering lead for new product development projects.
Compliance and Technical Documentation- Ensure designs meet functional and safety requirements and comply with applicable standards, including SAE, UL, AS, RoHS, and REACH.
- Write and maintain product specifications.
- Develop qualification test plans and reports based on product specifications.
Collaboration and Customer Support- Coordinate with external agencies and customers.
- Support the coordination of mechanical and electrical activities for other departmental projects.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to resolve technical issues involving legacy products.
What your background should look like- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Four to five years of relevant industry experience, with a proven record of engineering design and analysis.
- Hands-on experience applying mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
- Knowledge of military, aerospace, and space products and materials.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software; Creo, Solidworks or a comparable platform is preferred.
- Knowledge of machining and plating processes.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, inspection methods, and metrology equipment.

- Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification; Design for Six Sigma experience is a plus.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies, including machining and metrology.
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems, such as SAP, and manufacturing execution systems.
- Experience developing products from concept through industrialization, including voice of the customer, design of experiments, and failure mode and effects analysis.

COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $150,000 - $225,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
