Sr. Quality Manager

Full Time + Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with Company Match, PTO)

Job Type: Onsite

Salary Range: $160,000.00 - $190,000.00 DOE

Location: Chatsworth, CA

Job Summary

The Quality Manager coordinates customer satisfaction as it relates to product quality. Maintains department budgetary and quality staffing for the site. The Quality Manager will also

maintains and implements the company's quality management system including compliance to ISO13485 and AS9100 standards and other applicable standards as applicable to customer requirements. Also, leading structured problem-solving projects. The Quality Manager is responsible for the planning, assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, assisting with employee training and recommending and implementing improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions to ensure a safe and productive work environment. This role is responsible for QA and QC, along with other responsibilities driven by business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedules the work of the quality Department personnel
  • Supervises the maintenance of the Quality Systems including reports on RMA's, NCR's and Customer Corrective Actions as well as internal Corrective Actions
  • Responsible for Preventative actions
  • Is a member of the Material Review Board and drives an effective cadence
  • Schedules for internal Audits
  • Schedules for Vendor audits
  • Supports Customer audits and product/ process qualification as required

  • Working knowledge of ERP software, MRP, Scheduling and Planning systems, MS Office
  • Demonstrated competence in addressing Cost of poor Quality through a data-driven and metric-driven approach.


Preferred Skills

  • 10-15 years of Quality Assurance Experience
  • Familiarity with Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing
  • Fluent with Made2Manage MRP/ERP system
  • Knowledge of military and commercial specifications and standards
  • Lean manufacturing /six sigma training and experience
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) in related engineering field


Experience Requirements

12 or more years of experience in a manufacturing operation. 7 years minimum managing people

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher or eight (8) years' experience in a manufacturing operation.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting/Walking/Standing
  • Minimum 25 lb. lifting requirement
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs while carrying acceptable loads


Working Conditions
  • Climate controlled office and production environment.

  • Safety-toed shoes required and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as needed.
