York International Corporation seeks Sr. Quality Engineer at its facility located at 100 CV Avenue, Waynesboro, PA 17268.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Analyze company processes and procedures (5%). Develop process enhancement strategies (5%). Investigate shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes(5%). Establish norms and standards of company performance(5%). Collaborate with other stakeholders to enhance productivity and staff satisfaction(5%). Communicate ideas and opinions to other members of management (5%). Liable to stay up to date with developments process optimization (2%). Implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate products and production equipment (5%). Ensure that products adhere to quality standards (5%). Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data (5%). Work according to deadlines for the delivery of products (3%). Track products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is cal. (5%). Develop KPIs and track leading and trailing metrics to drive improvement such as internal defect rate and external customer concerns (5%). Work on the root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for all customer concerns (5%). Perform detailed and recorded inspections of final products, so the products are up to industry and company standards and satisfy all regulatory requirements (5%). Maintain all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, ASME standards, National Board Registry (5%). Maintain familiarity with quality standards and processes to follow federal, state, and local regulations (5%). Will convey information in reports, meetings, and status reports (5%). Perform accurate quality control of the product (5%). Ensure analysis, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills to review systems, find flaws, and pose solutions to those flaws (5%). Support for improvement activities arising from the rewards program (5%). NoTelecommuting Allowed. Domestic Travel required up to 25% to other JCI facilities and vendors. Position supervises 4 Quality Inspectors.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Product Engineering, or a related field. Plus three (3) years of experience as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer, or related occupation in the Operations/Manufacturing/Engineering industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with:(1) Six Sigma black belt training; (2) Lean training; (3) FMEA knowledge; (4) PAPSO (PPAP); (5) 8D analysis; and (6) B31.5 knowledge.

Alternatively, the employer will accept a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Product Engineering, or a related field. Plus one (1) year of experience as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer, or related occupation in the Operations/Manufacturing/Engineering industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Six Sigma black belt training; (2) Lean training; (3) FMEA knowledge; (4) PAPSO (PPAP); (5) 8D analysis; and (6) B31.5 knowledge.
