Job DetailsThe Sr. Quality Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement in product quality, reducing the cost of poor quality, and enhancing customer satisfaction.Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Improve, monitor, and maintain customer quality performance ratings.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret performance and defect data to drive continuous improvements.
- Serve as the primary customer interface for quality-related inquiries, issues, and escalations.
- Lead structured root cause analysis and problem resolution with all cross functions.
- Conduct process, product, and system audits.
- Evaluate and disposition nonconforming product, RMAs & verify closure and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections.
- Prepare and report daily, weekly, and monthly quality metrics.
- Track corrective actions and improvement initiatives through full implementation and control phases.
Qualifications Required- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
- 5+ years of professional quality experience
- Experience with MS Office, specifically Excel and Minitab.
Preferred Qualifications- Aerospace or aircraft parts manufacturing
- Optics manufacturing background
- Lean and Continuous Improvement skills / 6 Sigma background
For California, the salary range for this position is
: $80,630 - $137,808 per year
