Senior Bilingual Property Manager

Summary

The property management team is responsible for managing over 4,000 properties across Canada and the US. This is an opportunity to join our team as a Bilingual Senior Property Manager. The Senior Property Manager is responsible for managing a team of Property Mangers as well as an assigned region of the property management portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Real Estate & Property Management, this role works closely with the Operations team, Asset Management, Lease Administration, Accounts Receivable, Development, Finance and Accounting.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage & support a team of property Managers within an assigned region to ensure that all Property Management matters are dealt with Professionally and effectively.


  • Liaise with landlords and franchisee on matters such as year-end reconciliations, Property maintenance, lease interpretation, site disputes and escalations.


  • Ensure the integrity of the lease data within the system including the monthly payment of rent, budgeted CAM, taxes, year-end reconciliations, and other ah-hoc billings.


  • Responsible for the reconciliation of accounts, Year-end Adjustments, SOAs & monthly rent, CAM, taxes and property management escalations.


  • Assist in the delivery of property tax reviews, Lease audits & process improvement.


  • Prepares correspondence relating to rent adjustments, outstanding payments, CAM costs, Site Issues, etc.


  • Oversee our Non-Restaurant Property portfolio and establish maintenance schedules and day-to-day management.


  • Manage our bad debt and collection activities as well as tenant arrears


  • Responsible for reporting & ensuring all month end & Quarterly tasks are captured effectively.


  • Other duties as assigned


Required Skills:

  • Bilingual French and English required


  • 5+ years of experience in property management, property accounting, revenue accounting or Lease administration with strong financial competencies and/or legal experience in retail/commercial real estate


  • Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills both internal and external that show a capability of influencing a wide range of audiences on sometimes complicated or delicate issues


  • Well-organized with the ability to manage various competing priorities


  • Ability to Manage & work in teams, particularly cross-functional ones


  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deal with uncertainty Being nimble and a good problem solver: able to deal with problems where a precedent solution isn't readily available

Base salary range of $100,000 - $120,000CAD. Base salary for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills. This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity grants pursuant to the Company's long-term incentive plan.
