Purpose A telecommunications organization is seeking a Project Manager to oversee infrastructure and engineering projects across Alaska. This role is ideal for either:
- A seasoned telecommunications technician or installer transitioning into management, or
- An experienced Project Manager seeking variety within the telecom industry
The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of managing teams and workflows, and comfortable in customer-facing environments. Experience with capital projects and project bidding is preferred.
Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or similar) required
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Experience with capital projects
- PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or similar certification preferred (or ability to obtain within one year)
- Ability to travel to remote locations in Alaska
Responsibilities - Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Define project scope, tasks, and resource allocation
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Prepare and present progress reports, including KPIs and performance tracking
- Conduct cost analysis and project estimations
- Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
- Serve as liaison between internal teams, clients, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and best practices
- Address project-related concerns, questions, and escalations
