We're looking for a driven
Sr. Project Manager/Team Leader to take the reins of our
Arkansas engineering operations and help power the next chapter of growth across our Gulf Region.
This is your chance to lead from the front by building client relationships, growing our footprint across the region, and steering a talented team through complex, high-impact transportation projects. You will be leading the design and delivery of projects profitably while being actively involved in design issues and troubleshooting.
What you'll be doing:- Principal in Serve as Principal in Charge for all engineering design across our Arkansas offices with marketing and operations
- Be a true practice builder by growing services, clients, and geography
- Lead key client relationships and contract management
- Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier staff
- Drive transportation projects to hit financial and technical targets
- Write winning proposals
- Participate in and lead interviews
- Negotiate contracts with confidence
- Own project work planning
- Supervise the execution of work
- Prepare and deliver standout technical presentations
- Fuel marketing and business development efforts
What you need to have:- B.S. in Civil engineering from ABET accredited engineering program
- Licensed Arkansas P.E.
- 10+ years of progressive transportation/roadway, municipal, and/or water/wastewater experience
- 5+ years of experience in management of engineering and support staff
- Must be proficient with OpenRoads Designer
- The ability to manage AND assist in the production of design deliverables
- Experience working with ARDOT
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
- Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
Bonus points if you have:- M.S. in Civil engineering from ABET accredited engineering program
