Full Job Description
Verizon recently acquired Frontier and plans to transition non-union Frontier employees into Verizon compensation and benefits programs. This position will be part of that planned transition.

This position is responsible for managing SQL server instances and the related processing for the Marketing Technology / Advanced Analytics team. This position requires a great deal of analytical skill, ensuring that all reporting feeds are designed and processed as required and that all scheduled data loads are correct and comprehensive.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing new data solutions, integrating existing and newly developed applications, providing technical support for server applications, managing data and disk space, managing server and database security, and ensuring that all server data is archived as required.
  • Ensuring optimal data availability and robust ETL solutions.
  • Database creation and maintenance, coordination of data import/export protocols, and data integrity.
  • Managing ETL for ArcGIS geodatabases.
  • Creating, altering, and maintaining tables, views, stored procedures, indexes, and other SQL objects.
  • Upkeep a maintenance calendar to ensure all data is accurate and timely.
  • Participation in numerous audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Validating links between other internal and external data sources, and updating those sources as required.
  • Administering security for SQL Servers and Windows servers.
  • Overall support of SQL Servers and Windows servers.

Required Skills:
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in SQL Server development and administration.
  • Experience with SSMS (Logins, users, roles, views, linked servers, databases, etc.)
  • Experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Alteryx, R/Python, others), especially moving large data sets.
  • Ability to create maps/apps using ArcGIS Enterprise is highly preferred.
  • Must be well-organized and must be able to communicate well with both internal and external customers.
  • Must be extremely comfortable with the MS Office suite of products (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word specifically).
  • College degree in Computer Sciences or Information Technology preferred.
  • Must be available for evening or weekend work as the job requires. Limited travel may be involved.
  • Must be willing to perform server maintenance, repair, and recovery in an on-call capacity as needed, and as the needs of the business dictate.
