Job Overview
This position is responsible for the management of mid-to-large projects and initiatives that deliver solutions and services for T-Mobile's Compensation Strategy team supporting Retail Channels. The Sr. Project Manager works closely with the project sponsor, compensation operations, IT, senior leadership, and various cross-functional teams to define project parameters and develop detailed project plans and documentation. Core work includes meeting facilitation, formal project updates, business requirements documentation, project plans, and project schedules. This role translates customer requirements into specific plans and tasks using knowledge of T-Mobile systems and SDLC methodologies, and ensures proper conduct, documentation, and communication of all assigned project deliverables.
Job Responsibilities:
• Facilitate cross-functional group workshops to deliver requirements, assess new projects/initiatives, and evaluate progress of current initiatives
• Translate project requirements into objectives and tasks; manage task assignments to project resources; report on and manage project scope throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and status reports
• Interface with all areas affected by the project, including end users, service organizations, cross-functional groups, and implementation partners
• Review project deliverables for accuracy; keep management informed of issues affecting project status and recommend solutions
• Ensure satisfactory handoff and transfer of custody upon project completion; close all project documentation and archive appropriate records
• Research business problems and provide resolution recommendations to management
• Create and support standards, processes, and procedures necessary to produce team deliverables
• Develop lessons learned documentation
• Present project updates and findings to small, mid-size, and large audiences, including senior and executive leadership
• Serve as liaison between all functional groups; manage issues and escalate to management as necessary
• Bridge the gap between technology and business operations to support effective organizational decision-making
Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience
OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience
OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
• 5+ years of formal project management experience, including management of mid-to-large cross-functional projects
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio
• Demonstrated application of PMI principles and methodology on delivered projects
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information effectively - in writing and verbally - to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
• Demonstrated ability to identify project-impacting issues, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions
• Familiarity with accounting practices relevant to project management, including budgeting, invoicing, purchase orders, and accounts payable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in compensation operations, incentive compensation, or retail channel commissions environments
• Familiarity with compensation management platforms (e.g., Varicent, SAP Commissions, Xactly, Callidus)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid SDLC methodologies in a technology-driven environment

Base Pay Range: $83,100 - $149,900
Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
