Moog's Defense Sector has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Project Engineer - Missile Systems Lead in our WNY Defense Engineering group to manage and coordinate complex programs. The position will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY.

Reporting to the Technical Director, Missile Systems, you will be responsible for planning and executing technical scope on several small development projects or one larger development project and ensuring project milestones are being met so that the expectations of our customers are met or exceeded. You will be expected to collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering staff as well as Program Management.

As a Sr. Project Engineer - Missile Systems Lead, you will:
  • Oversight of technical, cost and schedule performance for development programs
  • Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses
  • Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports
  • Set the direction for the technical engineering team, coordinate a cross-functional team of designers, drafters, analysts, technicians, and manufacturing engineers
  • Mentoring and training of less experience project engineers
  • Be the main technical point of contact for the customer
  • Proposal volume development and costing support for Mission Enabling Services Group business unit
  • Occasional travel to support customer meetings and business development needs

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
  • 5 years of engineering experience
  • 3 years of leading technical development projects or technical initiatives
  • Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Contractor Security Clearance; currently holding a clearance is preferred.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $120,000.00-$145,000.00 Annually
