LMI is seeking a driven, execution-focused Program Manager to stand up and operate a network of technical communications facilities across multiple locations. This is a builder’s role: the Program Manager will take the program from day one through delivery, owning an aggressive milestone-based schedule and turning plans into results. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a start-up environment, takes ownership without waiting to be asked, and knows how to drive a geographically dispersed team of technical and functional leads to on-time, on-budget outcomes.
Primary duties include:
• Serve as the single point of accountability for program cost, schedule, and performance across all facility locations.
• Drive execution against a firm, milestone-based delivery schedule—anticipating obstacles, removing roadblocks, and keeping deliverables moving.
• Stand up program operations from the ground up, including kickoff, integrated master scheduling, staffing pipeline activation, and early wins that build customer confidence.
• Manage and mentor a geographically dispersed team of functional and technical leads, setting a fast pace and high standard.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government customers, subcontractors, and industry partners.
• Identify and shape follow-on and adjacent opportunities that grow the program through demonstrated delivery.
• Report program status, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership and the customer with candor and urgency.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, security, and quality requirements across all sites.
Location: This position is based in the Washington, DC metro area, with travel to program locations.
Travel: This position requires approximately 25-50% travel to support activities across multiple program locations.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of program management experience, including experience with federal government programs.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering complex programs on time and on budget—a bias for action and results.
• Experience standing up new facilities, programs, or operations from initial start-up.
• Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-management skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large, geographically dispersed teams.
An exisiting TS/SCI clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. LMI will only consider applicants with current security clearances. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Nice to Have:
• PMP certification.
• Prior capture management or business development experience.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) facilities, systems, or environments.
The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.
