Overview

Join Esri's Global Community Engagement Team as a Senior Product Engineer and help bring people together through the power of GIS. As a Sr. Product Engineer on the Global Community Engagement Team, you will become a geospatial technology champion delivering ArcGIS Hub based product architecture for communities within and outside of Esri. You will leverage ArcGIS, open data platforms and other technology platforms to act as enablers to foster geospatial adoption, build community interest underpinned with knowledge of a system or systems approach.

Responsibilities
  • Be an expert: Apply a blend of user experience, digital design, and full-stack development skills (HTML, CSS, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Python, and more) to deliver advanced ArcGIS Hub and ArcGIS Online solutions. Ensure every project aligns with sound project management and quality assurance principles.
  • Drive innovation: Build and evolve the Community Platform Templates architecture for the Global Community Engagement program. Develop repeatable templates and enablement materials that empower Esri distributors and stakeholders. Gather feedback and partner with Product Teams to continuously improve ArcGIS.
  • Solve problems: Collaborate with the Global Community Engagement Team to analyze and enhance community engagement workflows across Esri's internal and global partner networks.
  • Influence: Shape Esri's global community engagement strategy by working closely with diverse technical and non-technical teams. Create clear documentation, presentations, and storytelling materials that bring community success to life.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience across digital design, programming, and product engineering, preferably in the geospatial ecosystem
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Python, and JavaScript; experience with emerging AI tools in this space is a plus
  • Strong understanding of GIS theory and application, particularly ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Hub
  • Passion for geography and systems thinking, applying The Geographic Approach to community engagement
  • Ability to travel up to 10% internationally

  • Proven ability to collaborate with global stakeholders, communicate effectively, and present ideas clearly in both virtual and in-person settings
  • Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, or a related field

$92,144-$153,920 USD
