About the Role

In this role, you'll help shape and launch new digital care program experiences as Hinge Health expands into new condition categories and explores net-new member journeys. You'll work from ambiguous problem spaces to define what should exist, validate the opportunity, and design thoughtful end-to-end experiences that can succeed in the market.

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll collaborate closely with product, engineering, clinical, data, and commercial partners to create intuitive, user-centered solutions from concept to execution, including discovery work, interaction and visual design, prototyping, and validation.

We're looking for a designer who excels at simplifying complex challenges into impactful user experiences, cares deeply about craft and quality, has a strong track record of shipping meaningful work, brings a growth mindset, and is energized by learning quickly in unfamiliar domains.

Hinge Health is scaling with 51% year-over-year revenue gains and a member base expanding by over 47% annually. This role can directly power how we bring new programs to life and how members experience Hinge Health as we grow.

What You'll Accomplish
  • Shape 01 program experiences by turning ambiguous opportunities into clear, compelling product directions and tangible member experiences.
  • Lead discovery and validation work to identify unmet member needs, prototype lean solutions, and know when there is enough signal to move forward or change direction.
  • Design high-quality end-to-end flows for new programs, from first concepts through launch, with strong attention to usability, clarity, and emotional experience.
  • Partner across product, engineering, clinical, data, and commercial teams to move priorities forward and build alignment without relying on formal authority.
  • Create structure in unfamiliar domains by synthesizing user needs, clinical context, business goals, and technical constraints into clear hypotheses and design decisions.
  • Contribute scalable patterns and design principles that help new programs feel cohesive within the broader Hinge Health ecosystem.
  • Champion quality, accessibility, and inclusivity so new experiences are thoughtful and effective for a diverse range of members.
Basic Qualifications
  • A standout and up-to-date portfolio demonstrating high-impact product work, strong craft, and measurable outcomes.
  • 5+ years of product design experience, including close partnership with product and engineering teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction, Industrial, Product, or Service Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience leading ambiguous problem spaces and translating business goals into clear user problems, testable hypotheses, and effective product directions.
  • Strong interaction and visual design skills, with a track record of simplifying complex flows into polished, intuitive experiences.
  • Proven ability to drive end-to-end execution on complex initiatives, anticipate risks, and deliver work with clarity and reliability.
  • Strong communication and influence skills, including the ability to align cross-functional partners and advocate for a clear point of view with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience using prototypes, qualitative feedback, and quantitative signals to inform design decisions and improve outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing 01 products, new program launches, or other greenfield consumer experiences.
  • Experience in digital health, wellness, or other clinically informed consumer product environments.
  • Comfort balancing direct user needs with business and commercial priorities, and making thoughtful tradeoffs across both.
  • Experience working across complex service journeys that involve multiple stakeholders, workflows, or care touchpoints.
  • Strong facilitation and storytelling skills that help teams align on decisions, principles, and next steps.
  • Curiosity about emerging tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to improve speed, quality, and learning.
  • Passion for helping people live healthier lives through thoughtful, human-centered design.
