Overview and Responsibilities The Senior Producer, Special Projects supports the Senior Director of Production and Technology in creating best-in-class productions and sponsor/co-sponsored executions for key Ad Sales clients. This role oversees production of vignettes, contests, sales tapes, sizzles, and in-market executions in support of Brand Solutions, and manages field shoots and post-production delivery of all content for broadcast and digital platforms. The role also manages ongoing client relationships, including ideation and weekly client calls.
Responsibilities include but, are not limited to:
- Produce and edit compelling vignettes, contests, sales tapes, sizzles, and tune-in spots, ensuring consistency in look, tune-in information, and accuracy of all messages for both client and BET
- Manage ongoing client relationships, including weekly client calls, ideation sessions, and development of timelines and delivery protocols
- Manage field production shoots
- Develop and reconcile production budgets, in partnership with the Senior Coordinator, consistent with overall sales goals
- Create and reconcile production budgets
- Support other Ad Sales Production projects as assigned
- Partner with the Vice President to organize and manage weekly meeting schedules and overall project tracking
- Work with the Brand Solutions group to manage receipt of Project Request Forms (PRF) and Project Authorization Forms (PAF), tracking and managing all ongoing Ad Sales Production assignments
- Establish and maintain robust relationships with key Ad Sales clients
- Establish and maintain solid relationships with producers, editors, copywriters, and production staff
- Maintain a deep knowledge of the African American consumer and the BET viewer
- Work closely with BET Digital and other BET departments to ensure inclusion of all key messages
- Understand all aspects of production, including promo/vignette development and use of editing systems such as AVID and Pro Tools
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 10 years of experience in TV production at a television network or post-production facility
- 5+ years of experience in project management and customer service
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Film/Video Production, or a related discipline
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to interface with clients and various departments
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Able to solve problems and make quick decisions
- Ability to create and reconcile production budgets
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $98,400.00 - 123,000.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
