RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: No relocation assistance available CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR START: Yes CLEARANCE TYPE: Top Secret TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time Northrop Grumman Space Systems 6Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr Principal Cyber Software Test Engineer 6 Test Lead/PO (26-352) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. Based in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations systematically, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations, both globally and regionally, to improve performance. C2BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems. This role involves daily technical and programmatic communication with civilian, military, and contract personnel at MDA Facilities in the MDIOC and VB3, as well as at LM Offices in Colorado Springs, CO (Voyager and Federal Dr.) and Huntsville, AL. The candidate will support the C2BMC (Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications) Global system, aiding Agile Product Teams and the I&T team with hardware, software, and system-level testing, including verification and validation activities. Serving as the primary technical contact for the C2BMC National Team, the role includes managing C2BMC-G Test and Analysis topics, liaising with MDA and other government-contracted entities for technical support, and scheduling lab tests and installation activities. Coordination with MDA BCD-E and the C2BMC-G Integration Team on release installation and schedule planning is also required. Essential Functions: Key stakeholder in test lab build-out design meetings and design reviews Working with the Tech team Leads (SE, SWE, Deployment) and Cross-Functional Product Team (CFPT) Product Owners for arranging CFPT plans and workloads to most effectively comply with Task Order baselines as provided by the CAM, including Forecasting test needs, identifying test impacts, resolving issues, identifying inefficiencies and implementing efficiencies, Managing and briefing status, C2BMC NT chair of MDA CR (Capability Release) and BCD (Battlefield Coordination Detachment) Test Assessment Verification Leading the resolution of technical test issues Execution of test tasks in accordance with program processes Identification of cost and technical risks to the CAM, TO PM, PO, and FAM, and the development and implementation of effective mitigation strategies Assist the FAM with resource planning Support for the JERB, JCCB, ROMB, and other boards as appropriate Support for Task Order and customer reviews Support the collection and analysis of metrics in accordance with the QMP Candidate is expected to travel as needed, but most work will be conducted at the MDIOC Facility on Schriever SFB Assignments include training for security functions, resident Air Force, Space Force, and MDA training as a resident of the MDIOC Facility, and other duties expected of contractor personnel on a military installation Basic Qualifications: Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable. A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Masters degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree Applicants must have a current, active in-scope Government-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the eligibility to be read onto SCI clearance Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs Experience with the technical aspects of complex, highly integrated networked computer systems is paramount Must be familiar with DoD/MDA testbed baseline concepts for testing hardware, software, and Cyber IA applications Knowledge of the integration and testing of Command & Control systems with applied relevance to basic architecture used in the BMDS and/or the space environment, with a focus on C2BMC, including external C2BMC element interfaces and/or space sensors Technical understanding of computer network systems, servers, VMs, and multicast techniques, including hardware such as firewalls, routers, switches, and blade servers Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with hardware and software verification and validation processes and techniques, requirements decomposition, test planning, test procedures, test reporting, regression testing, and test data analysis Able to assist test engineers with technical troubleshooting and analysis of test-bed configurations for hardware, software, and Information Assurance issues or functionality Daily use of computers with Windows, MS Office, or Linux products is a must Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Agile Test-Driven Development Knowledge and experience with DOORS, JIRA, Confluence, Test Management for JIRA (TM4J), or similar applications; experience with test automation tools such as Gherkin and Cucumber Knowledge of basic message formats, including TADIL-J, HTML, ATOMS, COI, and XML What We Can Offer You: Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment that encourages your growth, benefiting both employees and the company. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
