RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: No relocation assistance available CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR START: No CLEARANCE TYPE: None TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time The Mission Assurance Chief Engineer (MACE) is responsible for all Safety and Mission Assurance compliance on their assigned Programs. The MACE is accountable to ensure that Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) needs are implemented through our systems and will engage across S&MA organizations and into other organizations to assure quality and safety contract requirements are met on time and within budget. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. In this job, you will: - Ensuring resources across S&MA are provided when and where needed to support Program success. - Lead efforts to develop, communicate and implement the S&MA vision, strategy, goals and metrics to help meet business and program objectives. - Daily interface with program leadership, Engineering, Safety and Quality organizations is required. - Regular customer interface is required to assure all customer requirements are being met. - Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional experience. - Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance - Prior Aerospace experience working with rocket motor design, manufacturing and/or quality. - Strong working knowledge of Quality and Safety policies, procedures and processes. - Ability to craft solutions to meet program unique requirements while maintaining compliance to AS9100. - Must have proven experience in effectively prioritizing competing and demanding priorities to satisfy S&MA requirements. - Strong organization, planning, execution and budget management skills. - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with customers Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced engineering degree - Previous quality engineering experience - Working knowledge of the MRB processes - Ability to get things done through formal and informal channels. - Ability to get things done through others without directly supervising them Curious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector? Northrop Grumman Total Rewards Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
