Based in Huntsville, AL, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations systematically, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations 6both globally and regionally 6to improve performance. C2BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems. Within this mission, the Regional Applications Analysis (RA-An) team provides critical analysis and verification products that inform program decisions and operational outcomes. We are seeking a Product Owner to lead the C2BMC Analysis scrum team on RA-An, driving delivery of highvalue analysis capabilities that directly support our warfighter-focused mission. Essential Functions: The selected candidate will serve as the Product Owner for the C2BMC Analysis scrum team on the RA-An team and will be responsible for driving value for analysis and verification products. Key responsibilities include: Provide leadership to a multi-site analysis team by ensuring that priorities, needs, and expected outcomes are clearly understood and consistently communicated to the team and stakeholders Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Grooming) and champion continuous improvement within the team Author, refine, and prioritize features and user stories to ensure feasibility, clarity, and readiness for iteration and sprint planning Balance stakeholder priorities, team capacity, constraints, and dependencies to maximize value delivered each sprint and program increment Deliver clear and concise progress status updates to Regional Applications (RA) leadership and Program Leadership Support C2BMC Control Account Managers (CAMs) with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) baseline, performance management, and reporting for analysis efforts Support proposal development with Bills of Estimate (BOEs) and engineering estimates for analysis tasks, partnering closely with engineering, program management, and business management As needed, perform hands-on analysis tasks, such as reviewing scenario assessments, developing and refining briefs, and coordinating findings and actions across integrated product teams Basic Qualifications: Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable. A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Product Owner, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Masters degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree Applicants must have a current, active in-scope Government-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently in a highly dynamic environment Proven leadership experience on a technical team in a related field such as software development, systems engineering, integration, or test Experience in Agile software development methodologies and Agile Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Grooming) Demonstrated understanding of how to develop, prioritize, and status features and user stories on an Agile team Ability to prioritize, execute, and delegate tasks effectively in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within cross-functional, collaborative teams 5+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline Applicants must have a current, active in-scope Government-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start Willingness to travel occasionally (including to Colorado Springs, CO) to support team, customer, and program needs Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise as a Product Owner in an Agile environment, including: Translating stakeholder and customer objectives into prioritized features and user stories Managing and prioritizing product backlogs Facilitating sprint ceremonies and driving incremental delivery on a DoD program Experience leading a multi-site or geographically distributed team Experience and understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and business management concepts in a software development or analysis environment Working knowledge of missile defense concepts, such as battle management, command and control, and sensor/weapon system integration Basic understanding of data analysis of software systems for assessment, root cause analysis, verification, test, and performance characterization Strong problem-solving, prioritization, stakeholdermanagement, and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple product initiatives, dependencies, releases, and competing user priorities concurrently SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner (PM/PO) certification strongly desired. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
