Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer with expertise in Labor Analytics reporting that will drive strategic decision making and operational efficiency. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain insightful dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making in labor and financial functions. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, advanced Power BI expertise, and the ability to turn business requirements into actionable insights. This individual must be able to work with large datasets.
You will collaborate with business owners to create a foundational financial value model that calculates the impact of implemented improvements over time. This model will highlight changes in KPIs and metrics, provide visibility into their movement, and generate actionable feedback to help identify the reasons behind these changes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Dashboard and Report Development:
o Design, develop, and optimize interactive Power BI dashboards and reports focused on labor and financial performance metrics.
o Transform complex datasets into intuitive visualizations and actionable insights for stakeholders.
2. Data Analysis and Insights:
o Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and anomalies in labor and financial reporting.
o Collaborate with business leaders to ensure insights align with organizational and project goals.
3. Data Modeling and Transformation:
o Create and maintain efficient data models and relationships using Power BI tools such as Power Query, DAX, and M functions.
o Ensure data accuracy and consistency through ETL processes and thorough validation.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Work closely with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to understand labor and financial data needs.
o Translate business requirements into technical specifications and reporting solutions.
5. Performance Monitoring:
o Develop KPIs to monitor labor utilization, financial performance, budget adherence, and cost optimization.
o Automate and schedule recurring reports to ensure timely delivery of insights.
6. System Integration and Maintenance:
o Integrate Power BI with various data sources, including ERP, HRIS, financial systems, and cloud-based platforms.
o Maintain and enhance the reporting infrastructure, ensuring it scales with business needs.
Qualifications/Certifications
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience:
o 4+ years of proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with a focus on HR, labor, and financial reporting.
o Strong understanding of financial concepts, labor metrics, and business operations.
o Proficient in creating data models, DAX expressions, and Power Query transformations.
• Technical Skills:
o Advanced knowledge of Power BI and related tools.
o Experience with SQL, data warehousing, and integrating various data sources.
o Familiarity with financial and labor management systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, SAP).
• Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
o Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with predictive analytics and AI integrations within Power BI.
• Certification in Power BI, Azure, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of compliance and reporting requirements in financial and labor domains.
