Full Job Description
We are looking to hire a highly analytical, creative, systems-thinker with good judgment who can drive results by working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders. This role will focus on designing and managing educational programs that are based on employer needs to create seamless pathways to new upwardly mobile career fields. Our team takes a data-driven approach to measure success and focus efforts on maximizing outcomes for associates.

We expect that you come to the team with experience in talent management, talent acquisition, workforce development, postsecondary education, vocational education, and/or skills training. You will be responsible for identifying and developing hiring partnerships with employers both internal and external to Amazon, seeking hiring commitments from these employers, selecting educational partners, providing feedback on program design and curriculum, and problem-solving to facilitate positive outcomes for Amazon associates.

Key job responsibilities
• Drive overall program strategy for an assigned portfolio of educational offerings
• Set objectives, analyze data, drive improvements that are quantified with metrics; influence resource allocation based on those metrics
• Develop new relationships with businesses inside and outside of Amazon to hire Career Choice graduates
• Identify and learn from high-performing educational provider partners
• Engage teams within and outside the Career Choice team to deliver high-quality programming to Amazon associates
• Apply advanced knowledge of education systems to coordinate program design and launch within schedule and budget constraints
• Write clear, effective narratives and presentations to communicate progress and outcomes at the executive level
• Lead complex medium- to large-scale projects that are business critical, and may be global in nature. May lead other program managers and team members for large projects.
• Recommend improvements to the way our programs are scoped, built, and deployed
• Make smart trade-offs (e.g., time vs. effort vs. deliverables) and create plans that have clear, measurable success criteria
• Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks
• Develop others through mentoring, providing constructive feedback to more junior PMs

A day in the life

Your primary focus is connecting education to employment. On any given day, you might be meeting with an employer to understand their hiring needs, reviewing program performance data with a school partner, or problem-solving with your team on how to get more graduates into jobs. You'll spend time building relationships - with hiring managers who need skilled talent, with schools delivering training, and with cross-functional teams who support the associate experience. You'll balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, and you'll always be asking: "Is this working for the people in our programs?"

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in data analysis and extracting insights to make data-backed business decisions

- 8+ years of project/program management experience

- Experience owning program strategy, managing end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- Related experience in talent management, talent acquisition, workforce development, postsecondary education, vocational education, and/or skills training

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
