Principal Associate – Associate Onboarding and Learning & Development (COS team)
As a Principal Associate focusing on Associate Onboarding and Learning & Development on the Chief of Staff (CoS) team, you will play a critical role in shaping the risk culture and knowledge base of our organization. You will work in a fast-paced and agile environment to design, implement, and optimize comprehensive onboarding experiences for new associates, as well as driving continuous learning initiatives that align with our core work in ERM.
In this role you will oversee and facilitate the onboarding experience for associates. You will partner directly with office leaders, HR Consultants, and other functional groups to conduct learning needs analysis and design solutions that meet the needs of our associates. You will also oversee the ongoing management of online learning resources for new hires and associates who conduct risk activities across all of Capital One.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Onboarding Strategy & ExecutionManage the associate onboarding process end-to-end, collaborating directly with Recruiting and other stakeholders.
Execute key onboarding logistics, including sending welcome messages and assigning buddies to ensure a smooth transition for incoming talent.
Facilitate and lead aspects of quarterly live training sessions to successfully integrate new hires into the organization's risk culture.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in the onboarding process, providing dedicated support and guidance to both new hires and hiring managers.
Learning & DevelopmentOversee the maintenance and continued development of the ERM Fundamentals training program, a series of foundational training modules for associates who conduct risk activities across the enterprise.
Champion associate development by developing, managing, and driving our office27s learning agenda to support ongoing associate education and engagement.
Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to conduct learning needs analysis and design ongoing training solutions.
Manage the ongoing process of learning strategy review, delivery, measurement, reporting, and revision for ERM curricula.
Program & Project ManagementExplore, compile, and synthesize best practices to inform the design and delivery of a high-value, high-touch learning experience.
Drive identification, assessment and execution of ongoing process improvement opportunities in terms of learner experience, quality, and productivity.
Measure the effectiveness of onboarding and learning programs; share results and partner with leadership to expand impact.
Design, develop, and manage project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements.
Manage workload of multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal direction and supervision.

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor27s Degree or military experience
At least 3 years of Project Management, Learning & Onboarding, or Event Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:Master27s Degree in Adult Learning, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Learning Design, Educational Technology, or a related field
Highly organized and creative problem-solver
Proficiency in Presentation Development
4+ years of Project Management, Learning & Onboarding, or Event Management experience
2+ years of experience in training needs assessment, experience design, or design thinking
2+ years of experience in the Banking Industry, Financial Services, or Risk Management
2+ years of experience delivering learning or onboarding programs
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900 for Principal Project ManagerRichmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Project Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate27s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
