JOB TITLE: Sr. Portfolio Data Analyst

LOCATION: Remote (must be open to occasional business travel to Los Angeles and New York as needed)

REPORTS TO: Head of Data

The Role:

This role would be part of the Business Data Analytics team at Sunbit. In this position, you will work closely with the BU leaders, Risk, Finance, Core, and Accounting to help measure and monitor the company's financial drivers overall. You would own the monitoring for key KPIs established by our business owners. Your goal is to keep the company's leadership team informed about any potential risks to the overall growth and financial strategy for all products.

Requirements

What You'll Do:

  • Own product monitoring that span across credit risk, payments, usage etc.
  • Build dashboards for executive consumption that measure actuals against the forecast
  • Build a forecasting and projections framework for portfolio metrics
  • Prepare & present material for executives
  • Perform ad-hoc RCA and remediation analysis through partnership with the relevant leaders (card, loan finance, etc)
  • Support simulation of portfolio covenants for major risk strategy changes
  • Institutionalize portfolio (card & loan) forecast and establish monitoring for the corporate model
  • Collaborate with Capital Management, Risk, Finance, Core and Accounting and other business leaders to develop analysis and material for lender negotiations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data governance to establish reliable product tapes for joint partner utilization
  • Build portfolio loss forecasting and support loss provisioning projections for Finance and Accounting


What You'll Bring:

  • 6+ years of relevant analytical experience with a bachelor's degree or
  • 4+ years of relevant analytical experience with a master's degree in quantitative fields like (Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering etc.)
  • Proficient in SQL and is excited about acquiring new technical skills
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge in Python, R or SAS
  • Knowledge of BI tool: Tableau, Sigma, or similar
  • Proficient in forecasting models like time series forecasting
  • Experience in Credit Card, Loans or other financial services
  • Passionate about solving real-world problems with data
  • Has an eye to look at the big picture and can think long-term
  • Has a growth mindset and takes proactive ownership
