Job Title: Sr. Planner/Scheduler

Working Pattern: Full-Time

Working location: Mankato, MN

Relocation assistance will be provided if applicable.

Position Summary

The Sr. Planner/Scheduler leads production planning activities to ensure on-time product delivery while balancing customer demand, supplier performance, inventory, and material availability. Acting as a key liaison between Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations, this role develops and executes production plans, drives continuous improvement, mitigates supply chain risks, and uses data-driven decision-making to support business objectives.

What you will be doing
  • Optimize inventory levels by managing safety stock, monitoring excess and obsolete inventory, and adjusting purchase orders to support production requirements while meeting supplier delivery targets.
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and capacity planning to align production with customer demand and business objectives
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics-including On-Time Delivery (OTD), schedule adherence, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, and past-due orders-to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare performance reports and dashboards for leadership, providing data-driven insights and recommending corrective actions to improve operational performance.


Basic Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field + 4 years of experience in procurement, supplier, or materials management, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field + 2 years of experience in procurement, supplier, or materials management, OR
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, OR
  • JD/PhD in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, OR
  • 6 + years of experience in procurement, supplier, or materials management, in lieu of a degree

Preferred Requirements:
  • Good overall knowledge and understanding of the product
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) preferred.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, and capacity planning processes.
  • Good knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (SAP preferred).
