Meet the team:The R&D Planning team supports R&D's product development efforts by ensuring materials and builds are planned and available to meet evolving product development needs. We work closely with engineering, program management, and manufacturing partners to balance changing design, timelines, and supply constraints. This role plays a key part in helping R&D teams stay focused on development by providing reliable planning, clear communication, and data-driven insights throughout the product development lifecycle.
Where you come in: - You develop and maintain demand forecasts to support R&D product and build requirements
- You define and update build plans while accounting for evolving designs, lead times, and material constraints
- You analyze historic build and inventory data to improve forecast accuracy and planning assumptions
- You manage inventory levels by checking materials in and out, tracking usage, and ensuring accurate inventory records
- You build part kits and coordinate shipment of kits to suppliers to support scheduled builds
- You collaborate closely with Engineering, Program Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing, to align on priorities and constraints
- You track raw material, part shipments and proactively resolve gaps or delays
- You identify supply risks, support risk-buy decisions, and recommend mitigation strategies
- You work on process and tool improvements to streamline planning activities, reporting, and data visibility
What makes you successful:- You have hands-on experience with forecasting, build planning, and inventory management in a dynamic, changing environment
- You are comfortable analyzing data, identifying trends, and translating insights into actionable plans and recommendations
- You bring strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple builds, materials and priorities at once
- You communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional partners and external suppliers
- You are proactive in identifying risks, constraints, and gaps and you take initiative to drive timely resolution
- You work well in a collaborative, team-based environment and value input from others
- You bring familiarity with tools such as MS Office, PowerApps, Confluence, Anaplan and knowledge of supply chain or inventory management is a plus

Travel Required: Experience and Education Requirements: - Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 - 8 years of related experience.
Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).

Salary:
$78,900.00 - $131,500.00
