Full Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity

As the Sr. Payer Innovation Strategist, you'll lead execution of the sales plan for Abbott Cancer Diagnostics offerings to national, regional, and local payers. You'll work closely with the Key Account team to develop sales revenue plans focused primarily on health plan quality teams, achieve the top-line revenue forecast, increase screening rates, and improve health outcomes.

This is a field-based, remote position, supporting various accounts across the U.S.

What You'll Work On
  • Sell payer gap-closure programs to health plan quality teams to achieve the Market Access Sales top-line revenue forecast.
  • Contribute to Strategic Account Plans for targeted accounts in collaboration with the Key Account team.
  • Forecast revenue by target each month and participate in Monthly Operating Review meetings to provide forecast updates.
  • Monitor program performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct business-planning sessions with health plans to jointly develop strategies that screen the greatest number of plan members with Abbott Cancer Diagnostics products.
  • Initiate and develop relationships with target health plan quality teams and maintain records of account history and progress.
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in the commercial and Medicaid payer markets.
  • Attend payer conferences and meetings to gather market insights affecting quality programs and develop new sales leads.
  • Partner with Legal and Privacy to develop Letters of Agreement and Statements of Work that document program details and execution requirements; own the required paperwork needed to advance product programs.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the essential duties; or an associate's degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: contracting and coverage with large payers, medical group contracting, sales, or sales leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Currently authorized to work in the country where the work will be performed on a full- or part-time basis. Abbott is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated track record of top-level business-to-business sales success.
  • Ability to present clinical data, scientific findings, and complex information persuasively to a variety of audiences, especially within the healthcare industry.

$129,300.00 - $258,700.00
