Full Job Description
UKG is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support the Employment and Litigation team. In this role, you will help manage legal demands, litigation, bankruptcies, legal holds, subpoenas, and related legal operations. You will work closely with attorneys, a senior paralegal and cross-functional partners to coordinate time-sensitive matters, organize documents and data, and maintain accurate records that support sound decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a proactive legal professional who can manage competing priorities, think critically, take initiative, communicate effectively, and enhance the processes and tools used to support a growing portfolio of matters. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to litigation support, reporting, and legal operations in a collaborative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage subpoenas from receipt through resolution, coordinating with attorneys, business partners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate responses.
• Support attorneys with legal demands and escalations, pre-litigation matters, claims, and related inquiries.
• Assist with litigation management, including matter intake, legal holds, discovery coordination, document collection, and organization of case materials.
• Maintain accurate matter records in applicable legal and business systems, including ServiceNow, Smartsheet, document repositories, and reporting tools.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, metrics, and status updates to support legal operations, workload management, and leadership decision-making.
• Coordinate meetings, deadlines, follow-ups, action items, and other workstreams for attorneys and legal project teams.
• Identify opportunities to responsibly leverage AI and automation to improve workflows, templates, knowledge management, tracking mechanisms, reporting, and other recurring legal processes.
• Support broader litigation and legal operations projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
• 4-6 years of paralegal, litigation support, or comparable experience. Prior years experience supporting an in-house legal team or working in a corporate legal environment is a bonus.
• An Associate degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience supporting litigation, employment matters, subpoenas, claims, disputes, investigations, or related legal matters.
• Strong organizational skills, with proven ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and follow-ups accurately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.

Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated interest in emerging technology and practical experience using AI tools (such as ChatGPT or Copilot) to improve productivity, consistency, and quality.

The pay range for this position is $80,800 to $116,150. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
