Full Job Description
As a Senior Robotics & Automation Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and optimization of automation systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency, safety, and quality. This position focuses on robotic programming, system troubleshooting, and process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for hands-on technical work, ensuring the performance and reliability of robotic and automation systems in our paint department. Plant 3rd shift hours: 8:30 pm - 5:00 am EST. Please note: These reflect general core hours, start and end times will vary based on overtime needs. YOUR IMPACT • Assist with programming, installing, and optimizing automated systems, including robotics, PLCs, vision systems, and peripheral control components. • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of robotic systems, including microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, and mechanical components. • Support the testing and validation of robotic assemblies to ensure optimal performance. • Develop and refine robotic path motions to improve efficiency, safety, and quality. • Work closely with engineers to support the design, configuration, and application of robotic systems. • Provide hands-on support in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to automation equipment. • Assist in training team members on proper operation and maintenance of robotic and automation systems. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Associate’s degree with 5+ years of experience working with robotics OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Strong electrical troubleshooting and mechanical experience. • Experience in automotive manufacturing is preferred. • Experience with paint processes. #LI-MC1 Pay Range: $64,500.00 - $103,500.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
