Job Overview:
The Senior Operations Manager will oversee the Production and Logistics operations to ensure all objectives are met. This role involves ensuring efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and effective communication across departments. Responsibilities include developing policies, monitoring quality control, analyzing productivity, managing shipping and receiving, and supporting strategic planning. Additionally, the manager will hire and train employees, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with the production and logistics operations.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among different departments.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
- Monitor timelines and ensure quality control standards are met.
- Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
- Coordinate with other support departments such as sales, lab, and quality to ensure successful production operations.
- Oversee the shipping and receiving functions.
- Assists with budget preparation for operations unit.
- Coordinates with marketing and sales departments to determine pricing, timing, and number of sales promotions, and products to be sold.
- Assists with, or prepares and updates, organizations operations manual and policies.
- Support strategic planning initiative and long-term business goals.
- Ensure all operations are aligned with customer needs and expectations. Lead initiatives to continuously enhance customer satisfaction and product quality.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing operations team. Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work environment to enhance efficiency and employee engagement. Create individual development plans, conduct performance reviews, and ensure accountability.
- Performs other related duties as required
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in scientific related field required; M.B.A. preferred.
- Five years of related experience required.
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.
- Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
