Job Purpose

The Onboarding Manager is responsible for leading Weatherford's global onboarding approach and ensuring a consistent, compliant, and effective experience for all new hires and transfers. Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, this role owns the global onboarding framework and standards, works across regions and functions to enable execution, and ensures onboarding supports Day-1 readiness, early productivity, and long-term retention. This role sets clear expectations, governs how onboarding is delivered globally, and partners with the recruiting team, HRBPs, and business stakeholders to ensure onboarding is simple, well-owned, and fit fora global organization.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Own and lead the Global Onboarding function, setting the strategy, standards, and governance for onboarding across all countries and legal entities.
  • Define, maintain, and enforce the global onboarding framework, covering pre-boarding, Day-1readiness, and early integration.
  • Establish mandatory global standards, controls, and success metrics, while ensuring alignment with local labor laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Approve and govern regional deviations and exceptions to the global onboarding framework.
  • Provide functional leadership to onboarding stakeholders, HR Business Partners, and Shared Service steams executing onboarding activities.
  • Act as the global escalation authority for onboarding risks, compliance issues, and complex cases.
  • Partner with the recruiting leadership team to ensure seamless transitions from hiring to onboarding at a global scale.
  • Enable and hold people managers globally accountable for their onboarding responsibilities through tools, guidance, and training.
  • Ensure onboarding processes are audit-ready, compliant, and aligned with enterprise risk and control requirements.
  • Own global onboarding reporting, insights, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead onboarding-related transformations, including operating model changes, system enhancements, and vendor strategy.


Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated experience leading global onboarding, employee lifecycle, or HR COE functions.
  • Experience operating within a COE / HRBP / Shared Services global model.
  • Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition leadership and Shared Services teams.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise HR systems (e.g., Oracle HCM or comparable platforms).
  • Experience working in regulated, audit-driven environments.

  • Proven ability to lead global process ownership and governance in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong executive-level stakeholder management and influence skills.
