Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Supplier Quality, improving procedures and resolving complex issues.
  • Implement end-to-end supplier development programs in collaboration with strategic sourcing teams.
  • Foster relationships between Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Operations to cultivate supplier partnerships.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with TE AD&M standards through audits and on-site engagements.

Job Overview

The Sr. Manager of Global Supplier Quality is responsible for developing the Supplier Quality strategy, policies, processes, and standards for the TE AD&M Business Unit. The Sr Manager of Global Suppler Quality will develop and implement global processes across the AD&M Business Unit to enhance our Supplier Selection, Qualification, Development and Monitoring Processes. S/he will partner with our Global Strategic Sourcing Team to deliver on Strategic Initiatives.

The Sr Manager of Global Suppler Quality will also work closely with the Plant Quality teams to ensure harmonized processes are implemented and effective, serve the business, and fully satisfy all applicable Regulatory Requirements.

S/he will also identify and lead Supplier Improvement initiatives through close collaboration with Plant Quality & Supply Chain teams , as well as with and Suppliers.

This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident.

Job Requirements

  • Lead a global team of Supplier Quality Managers and Engineers - North America and EMEA based footprint.
  • Manage supplier quality maintenance and continuous improvement activities
  • Achieve Supplier Performance KPIs through execution of strategy to action.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for Supplier Quality for the AD&M BU. This includes procedure improvements, lead as a problem solver for complex issues, and go to person for interpretation issues with both Suppliers and Engineering.
  • Engage in an end-to-end supplier development program that encompasses supplier selection, evaluation, and qualification for direct material supplier working jointly with the cross functional team led by strategic sourcing.
  • Build a strong cross functional relationship with Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain and Operations team to foster a spirit of supplier partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance by Suppliers to TE AD&M standards through audits and on site supplier engagements by his/her team.
  • Drives Suppliers to be conform to AS9100 requirements in their Quality Management Systems
  • New supplier evaluation, gap analysis, and gap closure jointly with the supplier development team
  • Drive SWOT (acute issues creating TE AD&M line stops) actions to mitigate supplier related escapes.
  • Support the commodity management on strategies to fill current and future supply base gaps
  • Acts as the AD&M lead for SQ on TE Cross BU Supplier Quality Leadership Council.
  • Works with Suppliers to ensure compliance to AS9145 (Advanced Product Quality Planning) to build quality into supplier production processes.
  • Develop SQ team to improve problem solving and relationships with suppliers.
  • Enhance training and problem-solving skills within the team and promote in our supply base.


What your background should look like

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering is require. Master's Degree is a plus.
  • 12+ years of Supplier Quality & Development, Manufacturing or Engineering experience
  • Aerospace or Defense related industry experience required - specifically within supplier quality and development.
  • Fluency in English (read, write and speak) - Spanish and/or French a plus.
  • High level expertise in quality science skills - PFMEA, MSA, CPK, DOEs, and structured problem solving - PDCA, DMAIC, or Shainin Red X.
  • Understanding of Molding, Stamping /Plating and Electronics commodities
  • Strong Presence and Influence
  • Extensive experience working with multicultural and cross disciplined groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • This position requires 25%-50% travel

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $152,300- $215,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
