We're looking for an experienced Sr Mgr, Regional Controller IBAME (M/F) to drive financial integrity, governance, and internal control excellence across the Operating Unit. This role will be responsible for leading SOX compliance, audit readiness and risk management while partnering closely with Finance and Business leaders to strengthen the control environment and support business objectives.

FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and strengthen the control environment through process improvements, standardization, and effective governance.

  • Own the SOX framework for the Operating Area, including scoping, risk assessment, testing, self-assessments (ACAs), 302 certification, and issue remediation tracking and validation.

  • Lead the execution of the internal audit plan across branches and subsidiaries, coordinating with Internal Audit and local teams to ensure audit readiness.

  • Support and participate in ethics investigations with financial or control implications.

  • Ensure financial integrity, including balance sheet review, US GAAP compliance, quality and timeliness of account reconciliations, and review of one-timers and policy deviations; including review of significant accounting judgements and risks (e.g. major contracts reviews).

  • Own the quarterly representation letter process, including litigation assessment.

  • Support statutory, group, and internal audits, including complex accounting areas and approval of Statutory-to-GAAP (S2G) analysis.

  • Represent Controls in oversight of major contract review.

  • Strengthen governance processes, including approval matrices, segregation of duties (SGD), user access reviews (UAR), and workflow controls.

  • Manage intercompany dispute resolution and ensure timely responses to regional (EMEA) and global requirements.

  • Partner with Finance and Business leaders, participating in governance forums and acting as a key control’s advisor.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including outsourced service providers (e.g., Genpact).

  • Provide technical accounting and controls leadership, including policy development, white papers, and support for complex or non-routine transactions.

  • Lead, coach, and develop the controls team to support audit readiness and professional growth.

  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Skills and experience:

  • Economics or Business master degree required, MBA or Master of Accounting preferred

  • Full professional proficiency in English. French and/or Arabic is desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP

  • Strong background in auditing, financial control, accounting, analysis and reporting

  • Minimum 8-10 years of total accounting/finance professional experience.

  • Pace, autonomy, strong organization and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively
