Job Purpose

The Senior Manager of Professional Development and Project Management collaborates with The Director of Curriculum & Instruction, National team departments, state teams, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all National Educational professional development and projects meet deadlines, schedules are maintained, and deliverables are timely and of high quality.

How You Will Impact Education
  • Utilize project management tools to develop timelines, assign and track tasks, and provide ongoing visibility of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Prioritize and manage project portfolio.
  • Assemble, mobilize, and manage project teams.
  • Coordinate the production of print and digital deliverables.
  • Fosters connections with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Offer suggestions for improving and streamlining the project development process.
  • Develop visually compelling graphics and presentations.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the proposal content library, including research documents, templates, organizational information.
  • Edit school design frameworks and implementation guides, and professional development for product delivery.
  • Support charter application development by providing project coordination, document management, and editorial assistance as needed.
  • Maintain and build our ED Solutions centralized resource hub for instructional resources, handbooks, and model guidance.
  • Establish SOPs, coordinate across teams, and oversee key projects aligned with CSUSA's instructional mission. Serves as the National team project manager.
  • Develop and maintain a digital collaboration space where educators across states can share best practices, lesson plans, and instructional strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to align efforts and maintain project coherence.
  • Establish standardized processes and tools to streamline project tracking, communication, and execution.
  • Track milestones, identify potential roadblocks, and implement solutions to keep initiatives on schedule.
  • Serve as the primary contact for cross-team collaboration, ensuring consistent, transparent communication across departments.
  • Maintain and build the centralized Resource Hub -- Develop, manage, and continuously improve a dynamic, easily accessible platform with high-quality instructional materials, cutting-edge EdTech insights, and future-focused teaching strategies.
  • Develop, Expand, and Maintain Instructional Handbooks -- Create and update comprehensive handbooks to support key instructional models and specialized programs (example ML Handbook). These handbooks will provide clear, consistent guidance across CSUSA schools, including:
  • Create a comprehensive set of resources that provide key timelines, training requirements, best practices, and national tools to support the implementation of CSUSA programming models such as Cambridge, IB, AVID, CTE, ESE, and Leader in Me, etc. These resources will guide school leaders in aligning instructional practices to model expectations and state regulations, while advancing college and career readiness for all students.
  • Provide resources, sample lesson plans, and practical strategies to help educators seamlessly incorporate character development into daily instruction and school routines.
  • Explore opportunities to collaborate with community and industry leaders to enhance and develop network initiatives with real-world applications.
  • Develop resources and training to integrate character-building lessons into core subjects such as ELA, social studies, and science.
  • Offer targeted training sessions for teachers, counselors, and administrators on how to model, teach, and reinforce character development principles.
  • Develop High-Quality Presentations and Materials for impactful presentations and supporting materials to effectively communicate national initiatives and key strategies.
  • Create cohesiveness across national team presentations for unified messaging, and to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Academic Collaborative -- Supports the development of resources and presentation materials to enhance alignment and effectiveness across initiatives and modeling for our curriculum professionals.
  • Support state teams in implementing high-quality professional development for educators.
  • Equip states with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to implement CSUSA initiatives while ensuring a consistent understanding and allowing states, areas, or schools the flexibility to tailor these professional developments to their unique needs and contexts.
  • Offer targeted professional development that bridges the gap between policy and state/school practice.
  • Strengthen the relationship between national and state teams through support, guidance, and clear communication.
  • Prepare Resources and Presentation Materials for NTI, and RTO -- Develop and refine professional development materials to support National Initiatives, ensuring consistency, clarity, and effectiveness in training and presentation across all states.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Educaton, Journalism, English, Business, or relevant field.
  • Experience in K-12 Education or education-related business strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience preferred.
  • Experience as an effective project manager and/or with the creation of professional development
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, project management tools, and MS Office 365 programs, including SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Monday.com and the use of ethical AI
  • Experience developing content for learning management systems (Schoology, Canvas, Moodle, etc.) or designing online content preferred.
