Job Description

The Sr Manager, Distribution - Springwell Operations owns the overall operational execution of the Springwell business, ensuring the business delivers against safety, service, quality, inventory, cost, customer experience, and growth objectives. This role provides end-to-end leadership across distribution, fulfillment, inventory control, material flow, production support, purchasing, planning, and operational finance activities. The position is accountable for translating business strategy into disciplined daily execution, building scalable operating processes, developing high-performing teams, and partnering cross-functionally to improve performance, strengthen customer outcomes, and support long-term business growth.

What you will be doing:
  • Own end-to-end operational execution for the Springwell business, including distribution, fulfillment, inventory control, material flow, production support, purchasing, planning, and shipping operations.
  • Lead the operating rhythm for the business by establishing priorities, aligning resources, resolving execution gaps, and ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly performance commitments are achieved.
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership and associate team through effective hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, succession planning, and clear accountability.
  • Promote a strong safety and compliance culture by ensuring adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, standard work, and disciplined operating practices across all work areas.
  • Develop labor, capacity, and resource plans that align staffing, schedules, equipment, and work assignments with demand, customer priorities, and business growth requirements.
  • Monitor, communicate, and improve key performance indicators related to safety, service, productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, fill rate, on-time shipment, past due orders, customer experience, and operating cost.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational scalability by developing standard work, improving workflow, optimizing space and material flow, and implementing Lean, 5S, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
  • Own inventory control discipline, cycle count execution, root cause resolution, and transaction accuracy to protect inventory integrity and support reliable customer fulfillment.
  • Ensure effective use of WMS, WCS, ERP, SAP, reporting tools, and operational data to improve visibility, strengthen controls, and support timely decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with commercial, customer service, supply chain, logistics, sourcing, finance, HR, safety, and other support teams to align execution with business priorities and customer commitments.
  • Manage operating budgets, labor plans, productivity targets, expense controls, and performance variances; develop corrective actions that improve cost, service, and business results.
  • Foster open communication, associate engagement, fair and consistent employee relations, and recognition practices that strengthen accountability, teamwork, and execution discipline.
  • Support footprint evaluation and network planning, including lease assessments, negotiations, and renewals.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, operations, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in distribution, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing support, operations leadership, materials management, or related business operations roles.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors, team leaders, or cross-functional operational teams in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or fulfillment environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading safe operations and sustaining compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety and environmental requirements.
  • Experience leading inventory control, fulfillment, shipping, receiving, material flow, labor planning, operational performance management, and cross-functional execution.
  • Working knowledge of WMS, WCS, ERP, SAP, reporting tools, and operational dashboards, with demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to drive accountability, decision-making, and results.
  • Experience with Lean, TPS, 5S, Kaizen, standard work, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Strong business acumen, leadership presence, communication, coaching, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to lead change and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in automated distribution environments, warehouse slotting, conveyor systems, or APICS certification is a plus.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $105,000 USD - $165,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
