Key job responsibilities

Own the strategy and end-to-end delivery of cross-cutting programs that span multiple engineering, product, and science teams

Build and own long-term roadmaps that improve delivery speed, quality, and operational excellence across our services

Identify trends across programs and influence prioritization so teams invest in the highest-impact work

Drive alignment across organizations, making difficult resource and scope trade-offs and securing buy-in on key priorities

Design repeatable processes, standards, and automation that help teams scale without slowing down

Partner closely with engineering and product leaders to turn customer and builder pain points into roadmap decisions

Communicate status, risks, and trade-offs clearly to senior leadership, and keep stakeholders aligned as plans evolve

Manage and develop a team of program managers, setting a high bar for delivery and ownership

A day in the life

Your day starts with a pulse check on the programs you own. You'll scan where things stand, spot the risks that are about to become problems, and decide where your attention will make the biggest difference. No two days look the same, but the through-line is always the same: you're the person connecting the dots across teams that don't naturally talk to each other.

You'll spend a good chunk of your time with engineers, product managers, and scientists, sometimes in a working session untangling a thorny dependency, sometimes in a quick hallway-style conversation to unblock a decision. When teams disagree on priorities or trade-offs, you're the one who brings them to the table, frames the options, and drives to a call everyone can get behind.

You'll also zoom out regularly. You'll look for patterns across programs, ask whether the process that worked at small scale still holds up, and redesign the things that are slowing people down. Some weeks that means building a cleaner planning rhythm; other weeks it means writing the crisp update that gives senior leaders the clarity they need to make a big bet.

The customers you're ultimately serving are the builders who use these AI services every day. Their pain points become your priorities, and the programs you run are how those problems get solved at scale. It's fast-moving, ambiguous, and genuinely at the frontier of what's possible with AI, which is exactly what makes it fun.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of program or project management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

- 4+ years of managing teams experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
