The Opportunity:
The Sr. Media Associate plays an essential role in supporting Mattel's Marketing & Communication plans across a category of brands. They will assist across US & Canada media planning and strategy. The ideal candidate will have a natural interest in media, analytics, reporting and data insights - with an eye for detail. They will collaborate with multiple internal groups across Mattel, as well as external agency partners.

What Your Impact Will Be:

Support US/Canada Media team in development, execution and monitoring of Media plans across a category of Mattel brands. Key areas include:

Media Strategy & Planning:
  • Translate Global Strategy into actionable media plans across US & Canada. Review agency recommendations for partners and tactics and provide feedback to ensure alignment with Global Strategy
  • Own Media Competitive Reporting relationships with partners like MediaRadar and Pathmatics
  • Inform the broader organization on the competitive landscape through quarterly Competitive asset and reporting review

Execution & Reporting:
  • Collaborate cross functionally between internal Mattel teams to ensure holistic execution of media plans
  • Support oversight of agency's trafficking process across multiple internal Mattel teams and external agencies
  • Monitor and optimize plans to meet delivery goals across all partners & campaigns
  • Analyze media performance data. Interpret & translate the data into actionable insights for internal Mattel teams
  • Facilitate flawless execution across channels, through close alignment on pacing & delivery (in conjunction with the Manager/Associate Manager)

Other:
  • Maintain Media vendor relationships and schedule partner meetings to support media team and expand industry knowledge
  • Manage Mattel's advertising memberships (ANA, Ad Age), including day-to-day administration, partner communications, and sharing relevant resources with internal teams
  • Coordinate weekly Flowchart reviews and identify opportunities to improve visibility into plan changes and workflow efficiency.


Qualifications

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2+ years in a media role required. Must have passion for media, marketing, and data insights
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, particularly Excel and Power point
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • A team player who can prioritize and juggle multiple tasks, work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with multiple partner groups
  • Previous billing experience helpful
  • Previous experience with Media Competitive Reporting Tools a plus (ex: Vivvix/Numerator, Ad Intel, Kantar, etc.)
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
